The core of my research agenda is centered on issues of representation. I am particularly interested in the behavioral implications of different career choices and personal characteristics, ranging from political ambition, preferences and party pressures to the pertinence of specific underrepresented groups. Alongside, I am curious about how institutional variation prompts dissimilar activities and calculations in changing environments, especially during transitions. My work has been published in American Journal of Political Science, Journal of Politics, Comparative Political Studies, Political Science Research and Methods and Legislative Studies Quarterly, among others, and has covered cases like Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Mexico and (currently) Colombia and Paraguay.
